Race Report 2021
It was a select field of 11 runners turning out on a wonderful calm evening at St John’s Chapel for the 2nd running of this unique event. It was of note that one runner (Chris Henderson) took to the start line in vest and shorts. Chris Alborough (soon to be DFR) was first home in a very impressive 39:26, a time which would have just missed out on the win in the summer version of this race. All runners were accounted for within the hour and the sweepers described it as the most difficult sweeping experience of their life – which is testament to the quality of the field (and perhaps that they also got lost on the way down!).
