Training Sessions

These are off road running sessions led by either a Coach in Running Fitness (CiRF) or Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF) around the tracks and fells of Hamsterley Forest with the main aim of developing hill fitness, increasing confidence in off road running and most of all sharing the joy of running for fun across the varied terrain that fell running has to offer.

We meet on Thursday evenings in the main car park at Hamsterley Forest from 1850, ready to run at 1900 for a mixed gender training session. We meet on Tuesday evening at the same time and place for a ladies training session.

If you are interested in coming along either meet us at 1850 at the main carpark at Hamsterley Forest or first get in touch either through the contact form or by emailing training@durhamfellrunners.org.

Kit required

  • Whistle
